Trade Finishing Services

In recent years there has been a sad decline in trade print finishing companies in Norfolk. To maintain our high levels of customer service, our response has been to invest in our own in-house finishing equipment and we now have several years’ experience. Our most extensive investments have been in binding, particularly soft back book binding, wire binding and square back stitching.

As well a being able to finish all these styles in house for our print customers, we are very pleased to offer our binding services to other local print companies. In addition to our print skills (particularly spot colour Pantone printing), we can offer to the trade the following:

PUR Book Binding

We offer soft cover paperback binding using true PUR glue for books as thin as 2mm and as thick as 50mm. Minimum book size 120x120mm, maximum 420x360mm. PUR glue is extremely strong and it is possible to bind pages on all sorts of mediums, not just paper and card.

All spine creasing and trimming is included in our reasonable set up charge and we are very pleased to offer advice on book printing at any stage of your producing, including quoting.

Square-back binding

This is becoming increasingly popular and offers a great alternative to PUR binding of books. The same cost and ease of a traditional folded and stapled book, but with the added benefits of a spine and flat, stackable copies that pack in a third of the space and do not slide about on display!

We can fold and staple books up to 10mm thick using square back binding – that is about 160 pages of 80gsm bond. They open and lay flat exactly as a traditional folded and stapled book but with less page creep and the ability to bind far more pages.

All the look of a PUR bound paperback book, but without the glued spine.

Wire binding

Our bindery department is completed with our Renz Autopunch 360 and Mobi 500 wire binding equipment. If PUR binding or Squareback binding is not suitable for your book, then wire binding is a third option.

Not just books, we offer finishing of a wide array of calendar styles including moon-cut hangers and desk tent calendars.
